The Role

The Company is seeking to recruit talented and creative software developers based at either our Torrington or Fareham offices, in order to expand our project delivery capability, enabling us to meet our ambitious product development plans.

You will be joining a multi-functional team within an engineering organisation with strong links across industry and academia, where a combination of world class, highly innovative products, robust engineering process, and use of latest technologies combine to support our customers, operating within some of the most highly regulated industrial, aerospace, and automotive sectors worldwide.

The successful applicant shall engage across the full product development lifecycle, as a member of one of our software development teams, responsible for architecting, designing, and developing technologies and products for use in industrial, aerospace and automotive applications.

The role offers the opportunity for future career development into a senior software development role, team leadership and other positions within our growing multi-disciplinary engineering team, with opportunities across the broader CMG group.

Skills and Experience

• Degree educated or have a suitable level of relevant experience in the development of MS Windows and Embedded systems.
• Working knowledge in at least one of the following languages: C# XAML/WPF, C++, ReactJS, Rust, Javascript, Typescript.
• Working knowledge of Teamcity or similar, Virtual Machine Configuration, Docker.
• Appreciation of version-control systems such as GIT.
• Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment and managing and maintaining Continuous Integration systems would be beneficial.
• Ability to analyse requirements to guide software development and manual, BDD and system level verification activities.

About the Company

Beran Instruments /  Helitune Ltd, Prosig Ltd and DJB Instruments Ltd are the principle operating companies of Condition Monitoring Group Ltd. (CMG), based in Torrington, North Devon, Fareham, Hampshire and Mildenhall, Suffolk respectively. CMG is where world-class conditioning monitoring solutions for the aviation, power generation and automotive industries are designed, manufactured and supported. The Fareham office is conveniently located in Hampshire between the cosmopolitan cities of Portsmouth and Southampton. The town holds many events including Gardening and Farmer’s Markets with the stunning south coast and the South Downs national park offer opportunities for a multitude of outdoor pursuits. Some of the local attractions include Portchester Castle and Titchfield Abbey.

DJB Instruments is situated in Mildenhall in Suffolk, close to Bury St Edmunds, Lakenheath, Brandon, Lavenham and Newmarket and only a short drive from the world-famous University city of Cambridge. Suffolk offers many attractions, including breathtaking castles, medieval towns, stately homes and gardens. The county contains two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and over 60 nature reserves, including RSPB Minsmere.  The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, bird watching, photography, or simply enjoying the 50 miles of beach.
